Founding Story
Every strong partnership is built on a vision — ours began in church.
When the Lord first spoke to us about forming an investment group, most of us had little to no knowledge of financial literacy, stewardship, or investing. We weren’t seasoned traders, nor did we have Wall Street mentors. What we did have was faith, obedience, and a willingness to learn together.
We prayed. We fasted. And then we got practical — we opened our books, including Investing for Dummies, and began gathering as a group to study, share, and grow.
What started as a small circle of believers hungry for wisdom soon became a fellowship of learners. Together, we discovered that investing is more than numbers on a page — it’s about discipline, stewardship, and building a legacy.
Today, Universal Matrix Investors, LLLP stands as a testament to what can happen when faith and financial literacy meet. We are not financial advisors. We are simply a group of people who chose to step out, learn, and walk in the calling of stewardship together.
And as we grow, we carry a bigger purpose: to build wealth not only for our members, but to establish generational wealth that will bless families, communities, and future generations. A vital part of that calling is building together. We believe that God is redeeming the times with us, positioning us to advance supernaturally by helping one another grow, multiply, and prosper in unity.
Our journey is still unfolding, but one thing is certain: our foundation was laid in prayer, guided by wisdom, strengthened in community, and dedicated to legacy.
Our Mission
The mission of Universal Matrix Investors is to cultivate and increase the wealth of its members by building an intelligent portfolio of quality securities including (but not limited to) stocks, bonds, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies.
Our Philosophy
- We believe investing in quality companies in the stock market is a fundamental practice for building wealth.
- We believe investing as a club also facilitates accountability and promotes intelligible investing rather than speculative and emotional.
- We believe investing as a club increases financial leverage and decreases timeframes to accomplish goals
- We believe in a thorough analysis and assessment of a company’s finances and leadership
- We buy value companies at a fair or discounted price and hold those companies as their value increases
- We believe in holding our investments for long-term growth.
- We believe in taking profits when appropriate by a unanimous vote
Our Strategy
- Invest regularly
- At least four times annually which includes but is not limited to Quarterly Earnings
- Diversify to reduce risk utilizing various securities
- Evaluate opportunities to reinvest or take profits from earnings
- The act of “taking profits” is defined as the proceeds made after buying a security at a low price and selling that security at a higher price.
- Dividends are reinvested into the club portfolio
- Completion of the “UMI Stock Purchase Analysis and Presentation” or “ER Stock Analysis” tool to assess the value of a company
- Unanimous decisions on all transactions
- Invest using both methods of Value Investing and Growth Investing.
